Let's Get Weird at The Covington Night Bazaar July 11 2017, 0 Comments

Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to work at countless events of various types. Weddings, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, etc. This weekend we are participating in one of the more unique events we’ve ever had the pleasure to vend — The Covington Night Bazaar! The word ‘bazaar’, which comes from the Middle East region, refers to the open street markets that take place in their cities. The events encourage the local community to participate in the trading of their handmade crafts, art, food, and jewelry.

Shops and vendors from all over the Covington, Northern Kentucky, and Cincinnati region will be represented, as well as the most popular food trucks in town, several local breweries, and a stage with over a dozen local bands. The main purpose of the Covington Night Bazaar is simply to participate in a local community. You might even discover your new favorite place in town.

So you’re probably wondering what makes this Night Bazaar so unique? What makes it such an interesting event that we are so excited about? Well besides all of the above mentioned things, the entire event has a mystical theme that makes this Bazaar a little more bizarre. There will be booths set up to tap into the mystic world of tarot cards, palm readings, crystal balls, belly dancers, and more! Normally, things like this are taboo subjects, or are met with rolling eyes and are shrugged off quickly, but this weekend the streets of Covington encourage you to release the weird and strange within you.

The Made by Mavis crew will be out and about taking in all of the metaphysical activities and selling our otherworldly jam Saturday and Sunday during the event, so come by and say hello! The event runs from 4pm-10pm Saturday AND Sunday, and takes place in the street at Madison Avenue and Pike Street. We can't wait to see you there!
